Night Fever VOL XXXIV Brass Edition w/ Young Fellaz Brass Band + Papa Chop/Manolo Black's Bday Getdown!

THIS SATURDAY NIGHT JOIN US

Night Fever Volume XXXIV
Brass Edition

featuring our special guests

Young Fellaz Brass Band

(New Orleans)

The Young Fellaz Brass Band is a lively second line styled brass band from New Orleans, LA. It began in 2005 originally with humble beginnings, only having 3 members walking around their neighborhood playing their instruments out of the love of music. Over the course of the next 6 years, the band would flourish to 8 members, along with overcoming many obstacles and setting many milestones for such a young group of musicians, such as recording 3 studio albums, numerous festivals in New Orleans, along with performing in many states across the United States. Last time we had the Fellaz get down with us was our huge SXSW Crawfish Boil in 2011 at Shangri La. Excited to have the play our Night Fever monthly for the first time!!!

Night Fever Vol XXXIII One Love Edition w/ Jeremy Sole (LA CA) + DJ Chorizo Funk

Night Fever Volume XXXIII
One Love Edition

featuring our special guest
from the City of Angels

*Jeremy Sole

(KCRW / theLIFT / AfroFunke)

Jeremy Sole is on a mission to show how music is a singular universal language, and that each culture’s rhythms and melodies are no more than slang--different accents of the same mother tongue. His DJ sets, remixes and original compositions juxtapose world sounds and experimental beats into a sonic ritual - a celebration of life out loud.

 QUOTES.

"Jeremy Sole was a revelation."

- Gilles Peterson (DJ/Tastemaker/Radio Host, BBC London)

"If I was a DJ full time, I would most likely spin like Jeremy Sole.

His mind and soul hears exactly what I hear."

- Raphael Saadiq (Musician/Performer)

"Beautiful choices of music... a whole different vibe."

- David Lynch (Director, Writer)

"Jeremy Sole is a man of good taste & tasteful mixing.

Los Angeles is lucky to have him ...he's a goldmine of music."

- Quantic (Musician/Composer/Band Leader/DJ, Colombia)

"Jeremy Sole is not only a world class DJ, but a world class citizen of the world.

One of my favorite dudes in the game hands down, and a fucking phenomenal talent."

- Rich Medina (DJ/Promoter)

"Jeremy is a great DJ, presenter, producer and knower-of-music ...an extremely cool dude.

I cannot stop listening to his remix of 'I Put A Spell On You' ...it's irresistible."

- Henry Rollins (DJ/Music Historian/Spoken Word Legend, Black Flag/NatGeo)

"Jeremy's in my top 2 for good Global dancefloor DJs."

- Nickodemus (DJ/Producer/Label Owner, Wonderwheel Records/Turntables On The Hudson)

“One of the only successful AND good DJs in LA (those are usually mutually exclusive)."

- Peanut Butter Wolf (owner, Stones Throw records)

"Jeremy Sole is one of the consummate tastemakers in the U.S. and a bad ass DJ to boot!

I'm honored to have to played alongside him and I'm proud to call him a friend."

- DJ Day (DJ/Producer)

“Jeremy constantly shatters World Music boundaries and

catapults his audience on a sublime international journey."

- DJ Nu-Mark (DJ/Producer, Jurassic 5)
